What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is characterized by excessive worry that you find difficult to control. Associated symptoms of anxiety are: restlessness, irritability, muscle tension, and sleep disturbance.  Many people feel anxiety from time to time or during stressful life events; however, if you feel like your anxiety is affecting your interactions at work or at home you may need treatment.

Common Anxious Thoughts

“I’m going crazy”

“Everything is overwhelming”

“I’m going to die”

“I can’t stop my worries”

“Something bad is going to happen”
